The Devon Rex Cat, with fur so fragile that must never be brushed, loves to delight his parent with playful performances.

  • Colors: white, blue, black, cream, red, brown, frost, platinum, fawn, chocolate, chestnut, cinnamon, lavender, champagne, seal
  • Pattern: solid color, tortoiseshell, bicolor, tricolor/calico, tabby, ticking, smoke, shaded, points
  • Eye color: amber, aqua, blue, copper, green, gold, hazel, odd-eyed, orange, yellow
  • Tendency to shed: low
  • Less allergenic: yes
  • Profile: strongly marked stop.
  • Muzzle: short, well-developed, with a strong muzzle break with prominent whisker pads.
  • Ears: large, low-set, wide at the base, tapering to rounded tips.
  • Tail: long, tapering, medium fine boned, well covered with short fur. 
  • Neck: medium long and slender.
  • Behavior: people often say that devon rex cats are quite playful, even to the point of being mischievous. These cats also have a propensity for jumping quite high. Despite their short fur coats, deven rexes are not quite hypoallergenic, since they do produce dander and do shed.
