My little girl Bella or the power of love
My little girl Bella
Easter Monday 2 yrs ago she had a stroke. She was barely crawling on the floor and needed to be fed by eyedropper. The vet Dr.Kathy told me that either she would get better or not, at which point some decisions would need to be made.
I worked with her every few hours moving her legs and giving her the eyedropper full of kitty formula. After a week she was starting to lick her lips she graduated to science diet a/d every few hours. I would try her walking, but her strength wasn't that good yet.
She was really leaning towards the right and could only be out of the kennel to 15 minutes before she would just flop over. I would increase the time that she was out of the kennel for exercise and working on her legs as well as cuddling time.
By the first year anniversary of the stroke she was out of the kennel most of the time and eating small sized cat food. You could still see her leaning towards the right, but that was getting less.
After two years since the stroke you wouldn't really be able to tell that she had one. Yes she does tire earlier, but she runs jumps into the kennel (sleeps and eats in there). She went from barely being able to crawl and needing an eyedropper to eat to running/jumping and eating on her own.
