The Savannah Cat is a hybrid cat derived from the breeding between wild African serval and domestic cats.

  • Weight: male: 8-25 lbs. Female: 8-24 lbs.
  • Longevity: 17-20 yrs.
  • Colors: black, brown (black) spotted tabby, black silver spotted tabby and black smoke
  • Eye color: all eye colors are allowed and are independent of coat color 
  • Tendency to shed: moderate
  • Less allergenic: no
  • Social needs: high
  • Muzzle: tapered with no break
  • Profile: the forehead is a straight to slightly convex curve from the top of the head to the ridge
  • Ears: remarkably large and high on the head
  • Eyes: medium sized and set underneath a slightly hooded brow
  • Body: long, lean and wellmuscled with a full deep rib cage
  • Legs: longer than average, well muscled
  • Paws: oval, medium in size
  • Tail:  medium to thick in width, medium in length
  • Coat: short to medium in length with good substance
  • Behavior: unlike most felines, the Savannah Cat actually doesn’t mind taking a bath. The Savannah Cat is active, adventurous, and enjoys life in the fast lane.
