The Siberian cat resembles the Norwegian Forest Cat a lot in terms of his physical appearances. Adapted to cold temperatures, this big and fluffy furball has a thick three-layered coat.

  • Weight: male: 12 16 lbs. Female: 8-12 lbs.
  • Longevity: 12-18 yrs.
  • Colors: all traditional and pointed colors and combinations are accepted with or without white.
  • Pattern: clear patterns are desirable, but secondary to type
  • Eye color: all. There is no relationship between eye color and coat color.
  • Tendency to shed: moderate
  • Less allergenic: yes
  • Social needs: moderate
  • Head: modified wedge of medium/large size with rounded contours
  • Muzzle: short in length, full and rounded
  • Ears: medium-large, rounded, and tilt slightly forward
  • Eyes: large, almost round, with the outer corner angled slightly towards the base of the ear
  • Body: medium in length, and well-muscled with the back arched slightly higher than the shoulders
  • Legs: medium in length
  • Paws: big and rounded, with toe tufts desirable
  • Tail: somewhat shorter than the length of the body
  • Coat:  the Siberian Cat is a moderately long to longhaired cat with a triple coat.
  • Behavior: the Siberian loves people and wants to be near them.
